Best of Spring Series

These photos are the ones that I thought were the best of my spring series and really exemplified the goals of my project. Throughout the series, my goal was to find interesting backgrounds and blending them into the faces of my peers while creating a unique relationship between the background and the subject.

Spring Series Draft #3

With this week's series, I chose to zoom in even more into the backgrounds I was blending and decided to blend people into nature surroundings such as flowers or leaves.

Spring Series Draft #2

For this week's draft, I chose to blend people into more nature like environments or backgrounds with an orange-y sunset feel. I experimented a little with erasing parts of the background so some parts were more prominent such as with my third, seventh and ninth photos.

For this one photo, I chose to fade Sophie into this frame and I thought it looked good however it didn't match the tone I was showing within the draft.

Spring Series Draft #1

For my final series of the year, I have decided to replicate the style of photographer Jasper James by taking city silhouettes. For this first draft, I took photos of different people and then blended them into some sort of cityscape (New York, London, San Francisco).

Class Portraits 2

This week I continued to take photos of my classmates imitating their styles.

 For Ava, I chose to replicate her Fall Series where she copied Brno De Zhou.

 I chose to take inspiration from Daro's Fall Series and take a picture of him as if he was a miniature toy.

 For David, I imitated his Winter Series of levitation.

 I chose to picture Lakpa using a similar style to what she did in her Fall Series which was inspired by Jasper James.

 For Lauren, I took a photo of her based off of her Fall Series where she imitated photographer John French.

I chose to take a photo of Liam by imitating his Winter Series.

For this week's assignment, we were tasked with taking portraits of our classmates mimicking their style.

 I chose to replicate Anna's re-creation of Lichtenstein's artwork

 For Armon, I chose to replicate his Fall Series imitating Ben Heine

 For Casey, I chose to replicate her Fall Series by collaging nature into an object that is cropped out

 I chose to capture Max using his Winter Series of taking a picture of him out of focus

 For Sophie, I replicated her Winter Series by panning her

For Stewart, I chose to capture a candid photo of him
